Caring For Life (CFL) has teamed up with Nochex to accept online payments for its 5k Trail Race and 1k Family Fun Run. Choosing Nochex to accept online payments was an easy choice for Caring For Life. Nochex already supports the Jane Tomlinson Canal Run, using its Membership Payments JoinUP! facility.
Caring For Life is a registered Christian charity (registration no. 1174982). It aims to help homeless and vulnerable people by providing accommodation, ongoing support, love and friendship. The Caring For Life projects can be broken down into two main areas: housing and daytime activities. The Daytime projects are important in helping vulnerable people to achieve a settled, constructive lifestyle. The two housing projects they run provide support and care for as long as the person wants. This helps to establish genuine emotional security which many of those in Caring For Life’s care will never have known.
Whilst homelessness is often the problem that brings a person to CFL, this is often just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface there might be a whole range of other problems. A large proportion of the people that CFL see have experienced physical or sexual abuse. Some have learning difficulties. Still others a psychiatric disorder or psychological problems, and some have been involved in offending or drug abuse.
Caring For Life seeks to address all these issues in the most practical of ways.

The 1k Family Fun Run and 5k Trail Race take place around Crag House Farm, and forms an important component in generating funds. It is a fantastic off road course along paths and fields around the farm with stunning views.
The Family Fun Run starts at 6.30pm, while the 5k Trail Race starts at 7pm. Finally, tickets for the Family Fun Run are £5 each, while the Trail Race has an entry fee of £10.
And, don’t forget a Caring For Life Hog Roast awaits each 5k entrant at the finish line!
